Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information ("MOW Money", "we", "us", "our") collects, how we use, share, retain, and protect it, and the rights you have over that information when you use our mobile applications, web application at mowmoney.app, related domains, APIs, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here.

Our role. When you sign up for MOW Money, you are our customer and we act as a controller of your account information. When you use the Service to manage information about your own customers, jobs, invoices, and communications, you are the controller of that customer data and we act as a processor on your behalf. A separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governs that relationship and is available on request.

1. Information you provide

  • Account & profile: full name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), profile photo (optional), preferred language, timezone, and authentication identifiers if you sign in with Google or Apple.
  • Business/company information: company name, business type, address, service area, currency, tax details, chosen billing day for customers (1st, 15th, or 28th of each month), plan tier, and onboarding preferences.
  • Customer records you upload: names, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses, GPS/coordinates where provided, service history, visit schedules, notes, tags, quoted prices, and photos of service requests. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to upload this information and for informing your own customers about how you and MOW Money handle it.
  • Financial & transactional data: invoices, payments, expenses, quotes, service prices, payout details, and Stripe Connect onboarding information (identity verification data collected directly by Stripe, not stored by us in full).
  • Support content: messages, screenshots, and attachments you send through in-app support tickets or by email.
  • Communications you send: the content and recipients of SMS, email, and push notifications you send to your customers or crew through the Service.

2. Information collected automatically

  • Device & app data: device model, operating system and version, app version, language, timezone, crash reports, and diagnostic logs.
  • Push tokens: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens used to deliver notifications to your device.
  • Usage & log data: IP address, session timestamps, pages/screens viewed, features used, referring URLs, and error events used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Local storage & cookies: we use first-party local storage and cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
  • Email deliverability data: send events, bounces, complaints, opens/clicks (where enabled), suppression lists, and one-time unsubscribe tokens.
  • Audit logs: administrative and security-relevant events (sign-ins, role changes, admin actions, billing changes) are logged for security and compliance.

3. Mobile permissions

The mobile app may request the following permissions; you can revoke any of them at any time in your device settings:

  • Notifications — to deliver job reminders, payment alerts, and account notices.
  • Camera / Photos — only when you attach a photo to a service request or profile. Photos are uploaded to our storage and associated with the relevant record.
  • Network / Internet — required for the Service to function.

We do not access your contacts, microphone, calendar, or precise background location.

4. How we use information

We process personal information to:

  • Create and secure your account, authenticate you, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Provide, personalize, and operate the Service, including scheduling, invoicing, and running your chosen monthly billing day (1st, 15th, or 28th).
  • Send transactional communications on your behalf to your customers (SMS, email, push) and to you (receipts, reminders, security alerts, product updates).
  • Process payments, subscriptions, and payouts through our payment processors.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Monitor performance, debug, and improve the Service, including aggregated and de-identified analytics.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, improve features, and communicate with you about your account.
  • Consent — for optional marketing communications and non-essential notifications, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to retain financial records and respond to lawful requests.

6. Subprocessors and third parties

We rely on the following trusted subprocessors to run the Service. Each is bound by contractual data-protection obligations:

  • Supabase (Lovable Cloud) — database, authentication, file storage, edge functions, and hosting.
  • Stripe, Inc. (incl. Stripe Connect) — card processing, payouts, KYC/identity verification, and subscription billing on the web.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — mobile in-app subscription management for iOS and Android.
  • Apple App Store & Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases (subject to their own privacy policies).
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) & Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — delivery of push notifications.
  • SMS provider (Twilio or equivalent carrier partner) — sending SMS messages to your customers and crew.
  • Email provider (Resend / SendGrid) — sending transactional emails, authentication emails, and unsubscribe handling.
  • Google & Apple Sign-In — OAuth-based social authentication if you choose to use it.
  • Reputable hosting, logging, error-monitoring, and infrastructure providers used to operate the Service.

An up-to-date list of subprocessors is available on request.

7. Communications sent through the Service

When you use MOW Money to message your customers or crew, we transmit those messages on your behalf. Messages include your business identity, and where legally required, an option to reply STOP (SMS) or click "unsubscribe" (email). Carrier and messaging fees may apply. You are responsible for ensuring you have consent to contact each recipient and for complying with applicable anti-spam, telemarketing, and communications laws (e.g., TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR ePrivacy, NDPA).

8. International data transfers

MOW Money and its subprocessors operate globally, and personal information may be processed in the United States, the European Union, or other countries where our providers maintain infrastructure. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

9. International processing and temporary development access

MOW Money is owned and operated by POW! Creative Group LLC in Florida, United States.

While the Service is undergoing development and testing, we may permit an authorized software-development contractor located in Nigeria to have temporary and limited access to Supabase and related development systems.

This access is provided only when reasonably necessary to develop, test, troubleshoot, secure, or prepare the Service for release. The contractor is required to follow our instructions and maintain the confidentiality and security of personal information.

We limit contractor access based on the work being performed and intend to remove access when development and testing are completed or when access is no longer reasonably necessary.

Personal information may therefore be temporarily accessed or processed in Nigeria during the testing and development period. The contractor's location does not change the ownership or operation of MOW Money. MOW Money remains owned and operated by POW! Creative Group LLC in Florida, United States.

Where required by applicable law, we use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards when personal information is accessed or processed outside the United States.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

  • Account & customer records: retained while your account is active.
  • Account deletion: when you delete your account from More → Account → Delete Account, we begin permanent deletion of your account and associated customer, job, and message records within approximately 30 days, except for information we are required to retain by law.
  • Financial & invoice records: retained for up to 7 years, or longer where local tax or accounting law requires.
  • Email suppression lists: retained indefinitely to honor unsubscribe requests and protect deliverability.
  • Security & audit logs: retained for a limited period consistent with our security needs.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, row-level security on every database table, role-based access controls, principle-of-least-privilege for staff, and audit logging of administrative actions. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your data and will notify you and, where required, regulators of any personal data breach in accordance with applicable law.

12. Your rights

Subject to your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Port your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You can exercise most of these rights directly from More → Account, or by emailing support@mowmoney.app. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

13. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and (if applicable) sold or shared; to delete personal information; to correct inaccurate personal information; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. MOW Money does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, contact support@mowmoney.app.

14. Nigeria (NDPA) and other regions

Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act, PIPEDA (Canada), the UK GDPR, LGPD (Brazil), POPIA (South Africa), or other regional privacy laws apply, we honor the equivalent rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability, and objection, and cooperate with the relevant supervisory authorities.

15. Children

The Service is intended for business users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children under 16 (or 13 in the United States). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

16. Automated decision-making

We do not use your personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email before the changes take effect and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
